How to play Carrom

Try Carrom at your own pace and keep its objective in view. Clear your nine carrom men after the queen is covered. Look at what changes after your first action. Keep the instructions close while learning this activity. Keep the game area visible while you use its controls.

Your goal

Clear your nine carrom men after the queen is covered. Read that aim before choosing your first action. Keep the controls in easy reach.

Step by step

  1. White starts; set striker aim and power.
  2. Own-colour pockets earn another shot.
  3. Cover the queen with an own-colour man in the same or next shot.
  4. Striker fouls return one own pocketed man if available.
  5. Finish your colour after a covered queen.

Controls

Touch to aim; sliders set power and angle; striker-position controls and Shoot. Use the control method described here for this activity. Make sure you are interacting with the game rather than the surrounding page.

A useful example

Queen and own man in one legal shot cover immediately. Apply the same reasoning to the position in your own round. Choose a deliberate next step.

Watch out for this

The last own man returns if the queen remains uncovered. Take a moment to reassess the position before continuing. Read one step at a time and try it on the playing area. Match the instruction to the control you use.
